Moving to Secondary School

Children finish primary school at the end of the academic year in which they become eleven – Year 6.

Parents will have the opportunity to visit the secondary schools in the area during the preceding Autumn term and are then asked to complete a secondary transfer form provided by the Local Authority.

The majority of our pupils transfer to Oathall Community College, for which we are a feeder school. A small number of pupils also transfer to some of the other local secondary schools including Warden Park, Chailey and St Paul's Catholic College. 

We maintain close professional relationship with the secondary schools in the area and work closely with them to ensure that pupils transfer with confidence.

Secondary school pastoral staff meet with our staff and pupils and induction days take place towards the end of the summer term.
