Federation Consultation

The governors of St Giles and St Peter’s CE Primary Schools are proposing to formalise the existing informal partnership, which has been in place for two years, by creating a school federation. This new federation would be known as the Bright Futures Federation.

This proposal has been developed by a Steering Committee made up of members from both governing bodies, with delegated powers, along with the interim Executive Headteacher.  The Committee has worked to ensure that the decision-making process is transparent, inclusive, and based on a thorough analysis of the benefits, risks, and impact of federation on pupils, parents, carers, staff, and the wider school communities.  Extensive discussions have taken place involving the Local Authority (West Sussex) and the Diocese of Chichester.

The governing bodies of St Giles and St Peter’s would like to hear your views on this proposal. A consultation document, available at the bottom of this page, provides more detail about the reasons for the proposal and how to share your feedback.  Opportunities have also been arranged for staff and parents to meet with leaders and governors to ask questions or share their thoughts in person.

The consultation period will run from Friday 25th April to Friday 13th June.  We encourage you to share your feedback as early as possible.  You can do this by completing the online feedback form, available below.
