St Giles' Vision
Embodied by Bringing out the best in every child, we aim to create a learning environment where we celebrate uniqueness and are all valued as children of God. We are inclusive in our actions, welcoming and supporting every pupil to flourish and achieve their potential. Positioned at the heart of our community, we strive to weave strong bonds that enrich learning and broaden horizons. We aspire for learners to be curious, equipping them with the knowledge, skills and resilience they need to thrive in their future lives.
How do we articulate the theological roots of our vision?
‘Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them.’ Romans 12:6
At St Giles we embrace the different talents and abilities that God has given us. Uniqueness lies in embracing and using these gifts to serve others and bring glory to Him. Stories of St Giles tell of a man who did just this. He was inclusive in his behaviour, giving away his wealth to the poor and the sick before leaving his homeland in order to live a life of isolation and service. He is the patron saint of many groups including the disabled and Paralympians. We follow his Christian example through our actions.

Community builds from the responsibility we have for each other. In the Bible, God encourages us to take care of everyone remembering the importance of maintaining a connection and focusing on building an inclusive community of love in words and actions.

Through his teachings, Jesus embraced the inquisitiveness of children and adults alike. Through our ambitious enquiry-based curriculum we lay strong foundations, rooted in Christian teaching, ensuring all our pupils develop into outward looking citizens, well-prepared for wherever their journey may take them.
