The Governors of St Giles CE (Voluntary Aided) Primary School are seeking to appoint an exceptional Headteacher to lead our thriving, vibrant and welcoming school.
St Giles CE Primary sits at the heart of our community and is popular in the local area for our nurturing ethos and confident, independent pupils, eager to discover the world.
We’re extremely proud of our school and our warm and inclusive nature: welcoming to all while at the same time, delivering the highest standards of teaching and learning for all our pupils.
We’re looking for a headteacher who is an inspiring leader, committed to carrying forward our journey of school improvement through a collective vision of our future. We want a leader dedicated to their staff team and their development and ready to get to know - and demand the best for - every pupil in their care. We may be a small school but we are ambitious for our future and hope to find a headteacher who wants to use their experience and knowledge to shape and lead that ambition.
We benefit from strong links with St Giles Church and are proud of our Christian distinctiveness and the support we get from our church community.
We are looking for a forward-thinking leader who: - Has a clear vision for ongoing school improvement - Has in depth understanding of current teaching methods across the entire primary setting - Is a skilled practitioner who can model excellent teaching to other staff - Is passionate about enabling all pupils to reach their full potential and will oversee a curriculum designed for all learners - Has an empowering and approachable leadership style with exceptional communication skills - Is able to build relationships in and outside of the school community - Is committed to enhancing and supporting the wellbeing of all - Has proven track-record of leadership resulting in high achievement - Is committed to upholding and building on our Christian distinctiveness and values
We can offer: ● A happy atmosphere that provides a caring, safe and inclusive environment based on a strong Christian ethos and values ● Welcoming pupils, eager to learn and enthusiastic about school life ● A hard working, committed and ambitious staff team ● A supportive environment that promotes a growth mindset and high expectations ● Support and expertise from a network of other locality schools ● An experienced, dedicated and supportive governing body
